Here's a photo that appeared on the front page of this day's edition of a young woman who was about to get married and shoot various animals.
I don't know why Miss Hughes was featured on the front page of the paper; I assume that her photo was used to fill space.
I could find out nothing about her or about James Norman Clarke. Though I am curious: did they hunt big game together before they got married, or did they hunt separately before meeting and discovering a common interest in shooting large animals? Either way, I feel sorry for the tigers and elephants of Indo-China.
