Earle Jellison

Toronto Daily Star, July 7 1927

This photo appears to be a particularly poor example of eyebrows being drawn in by hand.

Earle Jellison (1898-1974) learned to fly during World War I. After the war, he was a bush pilot in Quebec and Labrador; he also did significant aerial survey work in Newfoundland and western Canada. During World War II, he was a squad commander and station commander.

I could find no record of whether his flight from London to London was successful or even attempted. There are archives of his letters and postcards at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, which were donated by his daughter, as well as an Alberta Aviation Museum article on him; neither of these mention this flight.
