Val F. Mason

I searched in the Toronto city directories and sure enough: the 1931 Toronto city directory lists Valentine F. Mason as a maitre d'hotel at the Royal York Hotel, and the 1932 directory lists him as assistant manager.
In the 1937 Toronto city directory, Mr. Mason is listed as the secretary and manager of the Toronto Hunt Club, and that is where he stayed for the rest of his working life. The 1960 directory lists him in this role, the 1961 directory lists him with no occupation, and the 1962 directory does not list him.
