Carl Walter Schaefer

This small child looks a bit disgruntled and I don't blame him - I suspect that it wasn't his idea to be plonked into a tennis cup and photographed.
I couldn't find much on Carl Walter Schaefer. A Google search turned up an Ancestry.com link that stated that he was born in about 1936 in Chicago and passed away in about 2005 in Princeton, New Jersey. He doesn't seem to have done anything memorable other than sit in a tennis cup.
I also found Carl Walter Schaefer (1934-2015), an entomologist who seems to have been well-respected in his field. (There is a Polish Wikipedia page for him but not an English one.) If I hadn't found the Ancestry link, I would have assumed that this was the person who had been the boy in the photo.
It's quite a coincidence that two boys named Carl Walter Schaefer were born within a couple of years of each other, but that appears to be what happened.
