Sally Sweet

Toronto Daily Star, July 24 1931

Sally Sweet (1914-1997) did not have an extensive enough career to have a Wikipedia entry, but she does appear in the Internet Movie Database. She appeared in only three film roles in the 1930s, the first of which was The Eyes Have It, a short film released in 1932. Since this film also starred Slim Summerville, I'm reasonably certain that this was "Leatherneck" renamed.

Ms. Sweet became country singer Red Foley's third wife in 1952. Before that, she was married to music publisher Frank B. Kelton, who sued Foley for alienation of affection; the case was settled out of court. Foley's daughter from a previous marriage, Shirley Lee Foley, married Pat Boone in 1953.
