This is bright and cheerful and bland; it's an example of yacht rock. There's lots of synthesizers and even a marimba solo! However, I found it a bit too bright and etc. and had to stop it about two-thirds of the way through; this might be more my problem than the song's problem.
Starbuck were from Atlanta, Georgia. Three of its members had been part of Eternity's Children, who had a one-hit wonder of their own. "Moonlight Feels Right" was their first single release; it reached #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and nationally in Canada.
The band reached the lower reaches of the charts with four other releases up to 1978. They then briefly changed their name to Korona in the 1980s before disappearing from view except for reunion concerts in 2013 and 2016. Band member Bo Wagner, who played the marimba solo, went into health care for the entertainment industry, calling himself "Dr. Bo". He passed away in 2017. Bruce Blackman, the lead singer and keyboard player, has recorded solo singles and an album in the 2020s, releasing them under the Starbuck name.
